Koori Women’s Place
Djirra’s Koori Women’s Place is a culturally safe space where Aboriginal women can come together to feel supported, heard and understood.
Koori Women’s Place (KWP) is open to all Aboriginal women, offering practical support, wellbeing activities, workshops or just somewhere to unwind and have a cuppa.
It’s an extension of our work and commitment to supporting Aboriginal women’s safety and wellbeing.
We welcome Aboriginal women to visit KWP to:
- Join in cultural, wellbeing and social activities face to face or through our online workshops
- Unwind, have a cuppa and take a break
- Get information about upcoming Sisters Day Out, Dilly Bag and Young Luv workshops
- Pick up practical support like free toiletries, groceries or clothing items
- Connect with other Djirra services (Legal, Case Management, Alcohol and Other Drugs Support)
- Access our visiting services to get information and advice (e.g. Centrelink, Births, Deaths and Marriages)
